Netgear N300 WN311B. Help please

This is what I bought because i'm impatient and just purchased the first thing I saw at Staples.

Now I have problems... go figure, right?

I keep getting booted off the internet and when I am logged on, I am always on "Limited Access." Can anyone help me out on this?

I called Netgear and they repeatedly blamed the FiOS router. So I don't know what to do.

Could you explain "booted off" & "limited access" in more detail. I assume it has something to do with speed. What sort of bitrates are you getting? Are there any speed and bandwidth limits as far as your ISP contract is concerned?

I called back Netgear and he said it's because there's no drivers for Windows 7 64 bit.

But I was getting kicked offline as in no longer seeing signal and Limited Access meaning... I was connected to my router but "Limited Access" written over it.

I brought it back and now i'm looking for something new. Any suggestions? Looking for a PCI Wireless N card. I am using Windows 7 64 bit though!

There is discussion on updating drivers in another forum thread but it sounds like the hardware is a bit of a dud as far as Win7 support goes. Updating the drivers sounds hit and miss too.

Hopefully someone in the forum will have recommendations for something that actually works with Win7 64.

As a consumer, I'm a bit of a risk taker, as we all should be. It's what made America; so I recently purchased a Wintec PCI Wireless-N network/ wireless adapter. It was $15 at Walmart.com. No Joke. Works fine for me. It's connected to a Belkin Play N600 router. I can hit speeds of 2 MB/s downloading whatever.

An IT guy at a major company blah blah blah once told me that all routers and adapters are the same, realistically no matter what price you pay.
