network adapter

i just got a network adapter today 4 my PS2, i registered and all that stuff, i put in the cd that came with the network card, has a couple demos on it 2 see if i can connect online, but i cant, anybody know what i might've didnt do or anything?

What is your internet connection?, do you have a router? Please give us a little more info on what your general internet connection/set-up is.

DSL, and yes i do have a router, do i just have 2 plug it in straight from modem, 2 the network card?

The connection should be straight from the PS2's network card to the router. Of course your router should be setup with your ISP's info which is needed to the internet... Obviously you would have that done already though.

I'm not good with setting up firewalls etc. Perhaps something there needs to be changed.

You should only just have to take an ethernet cable and plug one end into your router and one end into your PS2.

thats how it is, im pretty sure i did everything right....i put the demo disk in that came with the adapter, set everything up (registered the adapter etc.), tryed playing the Tiger Wood game that was on the disc, it did the Authenicating whatever, after that it did something else, it counted up 2 30 sec., and i got some kind of error that it couldnt connect..

some games, such as EA require you to make an account with them so you may have to do that too.
