Network Cable Unplugged

I keep getting a popup on the taskbar saying "A network cable is unplugged". Then in a couple of seconds it will say "Linksys is now connected" This goes back and forth almost constantly, although I never actually become disconnected. I can chat and play games without any interruption. This popup is annoying nonetheless. I looked into solutions for this and read that perhaps the ethernet card and/or the network cable needs to be replaced. I replaced both items and still have this. Another problem could be with the DSL modem. If it were a modem problem wouldn't I be getting this popup on all computers attached to it. It is only happening on one computer, and I tried attaching the network cable from this computer to another port in the modem. I feel I have checked everything possible and still have this popup issue. Any other suggestions?

Wired

This is a wired LAN connection. When I installed the new network card (Linksys brand), the computer named it by default "Local Area Connection 3". I renamed it "Linksys".

I opened the Linksys Status Window. On the support tab it says Address Type: Assigned by DHCP. A new lease is obtained about every 24 hours. Does this answer your question? I suppose it is DHCP. Thanks very much for helping me with this issue
