network card

Every network adapter needs a unique code so it can be identified.

EDIT: LMAO, just realised what the mac address was! hmmm, either your very lucky, or something fishies going on
 
thats wat i said...it keeps picking up an automatic private address, but my wireless card will work and my laptop works with the same router so it has to be the card.
 
What are the rules in this forum for posting the same thread multiple times?

Where are the rules located, for that matter?
 
i had an nforce based motherboard and it had a built in lan connector; there was an option in the bios that allowed me to change the actual address of the device. i think this may apply here
