Network Connections Missing

Hello, I would appreciate some help with a problem I've been struggling with for nearly 2 days. After a hard drive replacement, I did a new install (win xp pro sp3) on a dell optiplex gx260 and are there no icons in the Network Connections page in Control panel. I have researched forums and have tried many procedures but can't get them to appear.

At first I had connected the computer to a port on my wireless router (linksys wrt54gs) via ethernet cable. I have since installed a linksys wireless g USB network adapter but it can't receive my router signal. This wireless setup was working for this computer before the OS reinstall. I can't connect to the internet at this time.

I have d'loaded (on another computer)and installed all available drivers from dell for this specific service tag. In device manager there are 3 yellow question marks; 1 beside "other devices" expanded to include "ethernet controller" and "wireless g USB network adapter". I hope someone can guide me here.

Have you tried, right clicking on each of the items with the yellow question marks, clicking update driver, and navigating to the downloaded drivers location?

All is OK now. I had already installed all drivers but apparently had not associated them. After following your steps, I now have wireless connection and ethernet cable connection. Thank you for your help. Also, thanks to Nanobyte for replying.
