I re-installed xp in my gateway mx6214 laptop. Got all the drivers from gateway website. everything is working perfectly. I have no wireless on the mobo, marvel installed 1394 installed, belkin usb wireless installed. all recognized in device manager and working. Under those in device manager is Yellow question mark ''Network controller. Every time I boot up it ''found new hardware '' Network controller, and can't find the drivers. I don't know what it is, so I can't get the drivers. Any ideas??

Marvell

I'm in the US, I downloaded the marvell driver, the card is recognozed, and working properly, and is shown so in the device manager.

It has been working. all my network devices are working. Windows still pops at boot finding "New hardware detected, Network controller" but cant find the driver. I don't know what it's finding. Its directly below my working network adaptors in the device manager.

So your device manager is showing an extra device, which you shouldn't have?

Do you have any virtualization applications installed - VMWare, VirtualPC etc?

Its most likely a wireless device. Please right click on that device, click on properties, click on the details tab and give me the 4 digit vendor and device ID numbers. They look like this.
