Network help

Please bare with me i'm not to keen on this but here goes anyway.

I'm getting a new computer soon and I plan to give my old pc to my brother and we plan to connect the computers via cat5 from my wrt45g. The thing is I don't want him to be able to share/view files from my pc. Is there a way I can prevent this while still allowing him yo use the internet.

Easy, don't share any files from your pc. As long as you don't have sharing setup on your pc, he can't access your files.

Why are you sharing files anyway? Do you have another pc you want to share files with bysides your brothers pc?
