Network Inventory

Hello

I am looking for a program to inventory the web of our company. There are over 5000 active network components which had to find by this program and the program had to readout the hardware data (mac-address, IP-number, serial-number….). This data of all components had to store in a CSV-file.

I just tested some programs as trial-version and there it was possible to store the data of only one component. But we need the data of all network components in a CSV-file.

If you know a program for this, which is not too expensive, please tell me.

Thank you very much,

Karl

Hello,

Do you not have any sort of monitoring of your environment? Do you also have zero documentation of your environment?

We usually pull serials and stats out of SNMP of which you can set the appropriate community string and auto discover within the appliance. A lot of monitoring tools like HP NNM will draw out a topology as well but they're definitely not cheap. Some open source monitoring tools can pull out host->IP->Model info out of SNMP like Zenoss, however.
