Im running 3 machines from a 8 port hub also have a adsl router connected. Internet connection works on all 3 machines but don't pic up the main machine. I changed 2 a static IP changed the sharing properties
I just dont know what else to do anymore.

Are all machines run windows 7? you said you did this before. are windows 7 or vista you did installed before? remember windows 7 networking use a different appoarch than the windows xp or ME and 98.
Did you creaete a homegroup? and other machines joined?
Did you turn on networking discovery?
Did you turn on filesharing?
For access files in the windows 7 machine away from public folder you need to create a user and password to login.

Its Windows 7 on all machines
No workgroup
Network Discovery on
file sharing on
password off

I dono just as well reload windows agn and start from there.

In order for windows 7 computers to talk to each other you need a workgroup. You need to create a workgroup with one of the computers and the rest join the workgroup.
Hope this will help.
