Networked CS using same Steam account

Is it possible to run a network server for Counter Strike and play it using the same Steam account on two computers? I know you can't do it online, but does Steam stop you doing it if you're playing on a LAN server?

Really, i thought itd be fine if youre offline
Because doesnt it start in offline mode?
IDK, try it. :D

Well if you unplug your ethernet or disconnect from wireless. Steam will automatically (or maybe ask) if it should log in as off line mode. Or there may be an option to go ofline. But you have to have your password saved and have logged in online before.

To play lan, im not quite sure but I would imagine youd need to have no connection outside your LAN...but im really not sure.

Yeah.
In steam, go file->go offline...

But still not sure if you can use the same account on lan. Can you just test it out? (I would but my other computer is a mac)

Or you could just try opening up steam logging on one of the pcs, removing the internet connection, then log in on the other computer.

Or doing sort of the same thing, but just opening CS on the first one and then take it's net away.
