Networking a Netbook with Windows 7 Starter

Apparently among the other Windows 7 Starter limitations, such as not being able to change the desktop background, I can also not use Homegroups. So I am not sure how to go about sharing files between my computers at home.

I have one Desktop running Linux Mint and one Netbook running Windows 7 Starter.

Seeing as I can't use the normal Windows Homegroup to share files, is there some way I can set up a virtual drive or something in order to allow file sharing between the Netbook and the Desktop? Ideally I'd be able to share the printer as well, but I would at least like to share files.

Would it be possible to set up a virtual drive? If so, how would I go about it?

Thanks

You can not network with win 7 starter in any form...the protocols are not written into the OS....Depending on the specs of the netbook you could put win 7 home on a flash drive and preform a USB install to the netbook.....Remember though you need at least 1.0 MHz on the processor and at least 1 gig Ram to make it run nice.

I'm really starting to hate Windows 7 Starter...

Is there any other way I could share files? For example, some sort of drag and drop online storage thing that could run on both computers? There has to be some way I can share files without having the upload/send link or transfer with a flash drive...

I believe Dropbox might be able to do that, but I only used it very briefly and decided I didn't like it.

You can join homegroup but not create one. so if you have another computer run windows 7 home premium or higher, you can use that computer to create a homegroup then the win7 starter machine can join and share file and printer.
