networking a pc and a mac

i'm trying to network my pc and mac by a WLAN connection but my pc can't find my mac in the network map. i dont know much about macs as i only got my first one a few weeks ago can anyone explain how this is done or point me in the direction of a tutorial or something? thanks in advance

No problem. This is fairly easy to accomplish. You just need to set up Windows File Sharing on your new Mac. Take a look over here for more information. It is an older article, but the steps should still apply to Snow Leopard.

What OSes are you running on your PC and your Mac? If you are running SMB 2 on your PC it can get tricky.
