Okay, my idea was simple. Plug my internet box into the switch, run a lead to the D-dock and one to the desktop. Same thing I have been doing off the century link box since I got it. Well, it is being a piece of Time Warner horse feces about doing it.
Problem one (fixed now)
-Laptop was connected fine. Desktop would not connect. Ran diagnostics from networking center and it said that there was a IP error and to reset the modem. Did that and nothing happened. So I went in this circle for 30 minutes, then remembered the ipconfig /release and /renew fixes. So I did that and it connected right up.
Problem two (current)
-The fix above booted the laptop. Did not try trouble shooting it (xp), but went right to the ipconfig fix. Well it released just fine, but the renew command is issuing an error. Specifically

Well, I tried it 3 times to be sure it was not a timing issue. Same error each time.
So, how can I get the issue to go away. Running XP on the M90 on the D-dock and 7 on the desktop.
