hello to ev eryone

trying to set up three computers on a network at home.
1 desktop has vista,host computer has xp home,laptop has vista.
belkin router sees all three,laptop works properlywith wireless connection to internet. followed dierections to make it work,but does not work.
main use is to get files from host to laptop. any suggestions on what i am doing wrong

You need to set all 3 comps on the same workgroup. Do you know how to do this?

All three are on the same workgroup too?

To check, right click on 'my computer' and go to properties. It should tell you in there what workgroup they belong to. They all need to be on the home workgroup.

Change the name on all of them to just 'home' Also, try turning of the firewall on all your pcs and see if that makes them talk to one another. Occasionally the firewall will complicate things.
