I have a problem, I set up a home netowkr between two of my windows computers and they still are connected but one of my computers is not showing up anything in My Network Places. Any ideas why it is not showing up? and is there anyway to fix this?
 
So do you have the computer plugged into a router or directly to each other? You also need to make sure that both computers are using the same workgroup. What version of Windows does each computer have on it? Answer those and we'll go from there.
 
they both connect to a wireless router and they both use windows xp.. do you know how i can also network those with a mac laptop?
 
You just need to connect them to the same workgroup. If you have trouble doing that, it could be a firewall enabling 'strict' sharing.
 
well for some reason the mac laptop can see my computer #2 which is the computer that cannot see any other network folders anymore.. and neither of them can access #1 computer which is the main but for some reason it can detect and access #2 computer and not the mac any way to find out why? the firewall setting are the same for computer #1 and #2
