ok well for 08 I have decided to build a new computer. budget = doesent matter but obviously im not bill gates so lets be reasonable heh.

Well, I found some cheaper RAM, and better specs. Cheaper RAM Comes with a built in passive cooler too, so you can get rid of the RAM cooler

I don't quite understand why the RAM you found was so expensive.

Considering the setup you've got going, you should probably try to find a better case; I doubt two fans will be able to move all the heat that a gtx 280 will generate.

I'd also upgrade your cpu, AMD isn't the greatest of choices with quads, but if that is what your set on then I'd suggest the AMD Phenom X4 9950

The motherboard is compatible with everything you have listed, so don't worry about that.

Edit: You might want to invest in getting some thermal grease. Such as Arctic Silver 5 which I don't think Tigerdirect sells. Try Newegg

hey thanks for the input. I will try to look around for a case with more fan ports and I will definatly bee getting the ram thanks for the heads up.
also I will try to find an oem 9950.
