new $1000+ pc

you gave a bad link for the cpu, it shows all the e-series. the psu is very good, i just installed it a few hours ago, (loving it)... um, you could actually afford to downsize on the mobo, (its the top of the line, and for a 1k computer, i dont think you can afford to spend 1/4 of it on pure mobo. the hdd is small for todays needs, (i know, i'm crazy, but gamers everywhere are nodding there heads in agreement with me :) )
acceptable dvd drive, the case is very good, overall, just little things to change. (you could try to get a better hdd by downgrading your mobo, but just an idea)

Duals

Keep in mind (as well) that if you decide to run two 8800s on that board, you will need no less than a 750watt PSU with 4 bonafide PCI-e16 connectors. I'd go ahead and get a PC Power & Cooling 1 KW Turbo-Cool and get it over with.

I'd say thats overkill. You don't need a PSU that big. As is having two 8800's in SLI unless you're running at crazy resolutions above 2000x1500. I have a 37" HD LCD 1080P 1920x1080 monitor being pushed by a X1900XT 512MB card and I get 60FPS Avg with VSYNC on in Fear Combat and 2XAA, 8XAF @ 1680x1050. So I doubt you need more than 1 8800GTS for anything right now. unless you're pushing over 1600X1200 an 8800GTX by itself is overkill. Just my humble opinion though. Good luck on your build. I would get a bigger HDD and change the mobo unless you're going to overclock. Check out the gigabyte DS3.

for some reason the link to the e6600 shows up as the entire series. thats what i want the e6600. yes i plan on overclocking and i will be using a 7900GT that i already have. i want the large psu to give me plenty of power i dont mind spending 30 more dollars to get the 700 watts. 250 gb is plenty of room for me. i dont download many movies or anything that wont be a problem im currently running the same exact hard drive and im only using 30+ gb.
