just recieved my new 1950 pro card and am very happy with it. However i cant read the tem, perture of the card. CCC cant show me atitool cant show me nor can pc wizard speed fan or everest.

Is this because maybe the card doesnt have a temperature sensor on board? It was a cheap card :?

Also the card comes with an old zalman type cooler

(dont think it is a zalman tho)

This is only connected by 2 screws diagonaly and not four, and there are no other mounting holes. I want to use my zalman VF 900 cu , will this be stable and secure enough being mounted with only two of the four screws?

Thanks

I take it you don't have the slimline edition? It's odd though as the sensor is on the processor itself. Mine shows it in the overdrive section. Where did you purchase it from and who is the producer?

I got it from DABS and they advertise it as dabs value but its produced by 'Triplex' ROFL

I cant find the over drive section in CCC help?

In the CCC I have it's on the bottom of the menu on the left, you may need to update to the latest version from ATi as this may even fix some stability issues I know I had with my old drivers.

It is the latest version from amd / ati website

And i just took it out and tried to put on the zalman. It was too small ( the zalman) and it took me so long to put the old heatsink back onto it - worst design ever

You can get Zalman and Arctic Cooling coolers that fit the X1950 Pro, I'm looking into one myself to improve cooling over the rather annoying cooler that comes as stock on the 1 slot Pro.

I have ati tool and it doesnt show the temp.

And i know the zalman fits the 1950 pro but i think this card is very cheaply made and the pcb doesnt follow that of the normal 1950's
