Hey i want to get a new LCD. 19in under 260$ w/o tax.

Please select one for me here.

I'm not going to select a monitor for you but rather just lend some advice. Best way to purchase a monitor would be to pick one yourself then read at least 5 (minimum) reviews. Take the advice from those that have used the equipment. Do not take the first review to heart, Read several and compare.

Things to look for in an LCD:

- Response times... The time it takes a pixel to go from grey to grey or black to white such as 16ms, 12ms, 8ms, 2ms etc. The lower the better (however not in all cases).
- Contrast... In the specs would read something like 500:1, 1000:1 etc. The higher the better (in most cases).
- Color or bit rate such as 6-bit or 8-bit... 8-bit being better, however, it should not concern most people but rather those that do photo editing etc.
- Features such as vertical tilt, adjustable stand etc.features are always important but perhaps some are not to certain users.
- Asthetics... Not so important but nice to have a nice looking screen :).

Why don't you want a widescreen?

And why would you want to spend $260 if a $220 monitor is the best in that range?

Thank you guys for your great help.

I came up with 3 monitors and read 2 reviews for them, except for the Samsung one, i read 3.
I think they are all equal, but i would now want your opinions.
