New and need help building.

So im building my first computer and I want someone to look over it for me to see if its all compadable and good. I have 470 bucks to spend.


Mobo: foxconn a7da-s 3.0 am3 amd 790gx HDMI

Pcu: Amd Phenom ii x4 955 black edition 3.2ghz

Ram: G. Skill Ripjaw 4gb (2x2gb) 240 pin

Power supply: ePower tvps550 550w atx12v

Video card: xfx hd-583x-zafc Radeon hd 5830 1gb 256 bit

I already have disk drives and a 500 gb hard drive and case. Thanks for looking give me your input!!!!!
 
i would certainly change the motherbard foxconn is not a very good brand, you should look at, asus, gigabyte or asrock

Foxconn isn't the best brand, although it's not awful either. If it's significantly cheaper than an Asus/Asrock/Gigabyte/MSI alternative, then you might want to get it. If not, then go with another brand.

Just a couple little things:
-make sure that the Gskill RAM is the right kind of DDR. DDR2 and DDR3 are not compatible.
-Make sure that your hard drive isn't a Maxtor. If it is, then throw it out. Quickly. :)
-I'm pretty sure that ePower is a good brand, although you might want to check reviews on it just to be sure.
-IIRC the Phenom II 965 costs the same as the 955 now, so you might want to go with it instead. (EDIT: Nevermind, I just checked and it isn't.)
