i have a K8V SE Deluxe mobo, an X-dreamer II case, the power supply that came with it is called (Thermolink Switching Power Supply) i connected all the cables (i think they are right) and when i turn it on, no fans whatsoever come on and i hear a high pitched ringing or whistling sound from my power supply. could this be that my mobo does not support the power supply or am i just really that messed up....

- Your PSU should be compatible with the mobo
- Have you attatched the 20/24 pin cable to the mobo?
- Have you connected the CPU fan to the 3pin connector on the mobo?

have you connected the front power switch to the mobo? (should be a little 2 pin connector). Is the Heatsink on the cpu seated correctly?

1) Mount motherboard
2) Put RAM in
3) Put Video Card in
4) Put CPU in and Heatsink ontop (plug heatsink power into mobo)
4) put 20 pin (and 4 pin if there is one on the board) power cord on mobo
5) take the wires from the front of the case (power, reset, led......) and put then in the right pins on the mobo (see user manual for pin config)
6) plug monitor to video card
7) make sure switch on the back of PSU is "ON"
8) plug power to psu
9) turn on...

Wouldnt it make more sense to pop the CPU and HSF in before the ram and video?

eh.. no difference really. as long as its not started before its all in there.
