New board

I recently ordered the msi 787-g45 board for the 4770k but I have since read that this board is now discontinued does anyone have any info on this as I have yet to receive the board which, on the site I ordered from says its out of stock.

What site was it on seems unlikely a socket 1150 motherboard would be discontinued already.

On a side note i would reconsider your chosen brand.

Yes sorry I meant z87, I thought I would be strange to no longer be available, like you said its for the new socket, I have read a lot of reviews on the board and most are positive, but please pass on your opinion as I am a novice and any advice is appreciated, the one other thing I have read on this board is that there is a few Doa'S

My personal experience is most failed boards i have dealt with have been msi or asrock.

The 2 brands i stick too are gigabyte or asus, both brands very good quality with regular bios updates unlike some lower manufacturers that just release a board then forget about it.

I would have looked at these boards.
