Hey guys, Im building a new computer for as low as I can, and would like some input before I order. Could you tell me what kind of performance I would get, and how long will it be viable for. I would like it to be able to play WoW SCII Cyrsis2 and stuff on pretty high settings. I would also like it to be able to play future games on good settings for atleast 4 years. That said I don't mind changing a few parts in a years time (New processor, 2 video card, new PSU, etc.) Thanks!

Mobo - $110

CPU - $100

Ram - $45

GPU - $180

Case - $40

PSU - $45

Hard Drive - $50

Dvd drive - $18

Total - $588
With Rebates - $528

I wouldn't like to go over $600 if I can help it.If there is any compatiblity issues, please let me know. And also, and cheap upgrades would be appreciate :D Thanks!

ehh

It will be tough to play modern games and especially future games on high settings for under $600, which isn't to say it cant be done! just difficult.

I've like most of the asus motherboards I've used in the same price range as the one you specified, but can't comment on it specifically, nor the processor, as i use all intel. *keep in mind that the board only supports one pci express x16 slot at a time so updating to dual gpus is out of the question (unless one of them is just plain old pci)*

the memory and graphics you have selected look wonderful, the power supply may be a pinch underspecd, but it shouldn't cause any immediate problems, until you update processors or graphics.

I would spring a tad more for a larger and nicer (more reliable) HDD, but that's up to you.

all in all i think you have a respectable build there (especially for the price) that should last a while, although maybe not four years.
other than that, good luck!!
