New budget graphics card

get the gigabyte one. you could wait until fermi comes out and then get a good deal on a 5770. it should drop in price some more.
 
Yeah Fermi will be out on the 6th of April so it should decreases prices on all current gen GPUs.


I personally wouldn't buy either brand. Stick with XFX/eVGA killer warranties and you can overclock without fear as both allow it on their warranty. Your asking for troubles buying cheaply made GPUs. Even MSI is better then both those brands combined :P

Just save a little and get a 5770 1GB, from XFX or EVGA as said before. You got an integrated chip you could use?
 
I went ahead and got that 4870 with a 10% off coupon so it was $98. If I don't like it, I have 90 days to return it. So we will see what happens!
