Okay so I decided to build a PC for gaming, and some video editing

I was wondering If you guys can build me a PC on newegg, I'm new to this.

I have a monitor, speakers, keyboard, and mouse.

Budget is $1,000.

Thanks in advance!

Oh and I'm looking to run games like Battlefield 2 on High

i think this would be a very good gaming/video editing rig.this rig will run every game out at the moment at max settings.

^yes that PSU will power everything with room to spare.

Total with shipping-$1,002.60

edit:if you dont want that much GPU power than you could switch it out for a 6850 and get a SSD for your OS,just a thought.

Looks nice, and I was wondering what if I wanted crossfire in the future?

And that PSU will handle it?

Not doubting you, but just curious...since i'm new

I would also like upgrage other parts in the future

no that PSU will not handle two 6950's.but if you could throw an extra $20 for this PSU than you'll be good to go.

here- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256035

so if you replaced the PSU that i first recommended with this one it will be $1,022.60 with shipping

What about the CPU does that have to do anything with crossfire?

I mean, I wouldn't want get crossfire atm if I can run all games on max with just that build. But would in the future.

I would probably get another case when I do crossfire for space.

yes, that build there will run every game at the moment @max settings.

that case could do CF with no problem.but if you wanted to get another case for other purposes..better airflow, more room, is ok.

Yes, cpu's have something to do with CF. They need to be powerfull enough. And the 1090T 6-core is more than enough for CF.

So you can add another gpu later on as an upgrade w/o having to add anything else.

Cases are personal preference for the most part.
Good airflow/cooling is a must.
Cable managament features make it look nice and aids in the air flow.
A bottom mount ps has several advantages over a top mount.

edit:
You may be able to get this overclocker,, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072&cm_re=i5-2500k-_-19-115-072-_-Product ,, or the the i5-2400(no oc) if you want to wait about a month for Intel to fix their mb chip for that platform. This has a lot on that subject. http://www.computerforum.com/190694-a-post1592291.html <--or like said// the AMD 955 x4 would do nicely as well and it also oc's nicely.

Oh ok thanks

What about the mobo, and what is the whole difference between i5/i7 processors?

Some have a preference AMD/Intel. The Intell Sandy Bridge cpu's are very strong and overclock very high. And the price is lower than old generation Intel. But the compatible mb's have a problem so everythings been recalled. The fix is supposed to be soon.
Nothing wrong with AMD either. Has proven reliability. I was just giving you info.
If you can get the 1090T, thats a good choice.
