New build $1000

Ok so I'm looking to build a gaming/video editing PC.
This is my first time building one so I need as much help you guys can give me.

My budget is about $1,000, I mostly wan't to do gaming on it like run BFBC2, COD on max and newer releases, and a bit of video editing.

I have a moniter, speakers, keyboard, and mouse.

Oh and and passing the budget by a bit is fine

as a boot drive to store windows and essential/everyday programs. No games or large apps. But things like your web browser, office, photoshop. Things that benefit from fast hard drives.
