New Build - Best Components For The Money?

I plan to order the components to build a computer. I'm shopping at Newegg.
Please, take a look at build and tell me if there's anything best changed:

I'd like to keep the case and the monitor as they are, but if somebody can suggest a better alternative for either, I might change my mind. Generally, I'd like to reduce the price of the build as much as possible without lessening it's performance too much. It's price is a little high because Newegg charges tax on purchases from my state.

I'd say get a 4850 or 4870 instead of 9600GT SLI.

Two HD4850 in crossfire to replace two 9600GT in SLI would cost too much. Newegg's cheapest HD4850 is $199. I'm already over my budget as it is.

nope, everything else looks good from my point of view

I am not a gamer and if you aren't, a quad core isn't necessary.
I find that my Athlon x2 (dualcore) is zippy, but, I'm running Linux
which is faster than Windows could ever be.
