Hi all

After scouting around all day for a new mid range PC base unit, these are the items I have decided on. Please, if there are any known incompatibility issues let me know.

MSI AMD Ryzen B450M PRO-VDH MAX AM4 MicroATX Motherboard £73.58
Creative SoundBlaster Audigy FX 5.1 Soundcard PCI-E OEM £22.18
Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 650 Watt Full Modular 80+ Gold PSU/Power Supply £79.99
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Processor (6C/12T, 35MB Cache, 4.2 GHz Max Boost) £153.00
Crucial Ballistix RGB BL2K8G36C16U4BL 3600 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, Desktop Gaming Memory Kit, 16GB (8GB x2), CL16, Black £89.99
Noctua NF-P14s redux-1500 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1500 RPM (140mm, Grey) 13.99 x 2

Total: £446.72

I already have:

BitFenix Aegis Case with 120mm rear fan.
Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers, Monitor
2 Sata HDD's
Samsung 500gb SSD

Thanks!

Don't see the need of sound card.

Where is your GPU?

Those case fans are expensive. Personally won't spend £28 on case fan.

Hi i have a 5.1 speaker system that I need to connect and the board only has 3 inputs.

I was just going to try out the onboard GFX first before choosing a GPU. - Sorry I thought the Ryzen 5 3600 had integrated graphics that I could use the 3 ports from the back of my mobo?

and the £28 is for 2 140mm case fans, thats why they seem expensive.

What do you think?

Seems I was wrong and the Ryzen 5 3600 doesn't have integrated graphics. Thanks, this is why I posted.

Could I use the Ryzen 5 3400G?

Thanks, no gaming just multitasking and I would like the use out of the 3 display ports on the mobo, VGA, DVI and HDMI to use 3 monitors

Arctic Cooling F14 PWM PST Fan is only £7

If it is non gaming PC. I don't see you need more than 2 case fans.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I will look into the Arctic Cooling F14, it will save a few £'s.

And for the motherboard, it only has 3 jacks for the audio input, blue, green and pink. I will be using the blue input for a line in for my DJ controller so I wont be able to use my 5.1 surround sound speakers without the black and orange inputs that I get from the soundcard, unless I am wrong which is possible. :D
