Hey Guys,

I don't know if your interested but I got my new build finished :)

Only now the processor shows up as a 1800+ (1.50GHZ) instead of what it should be, 2400+ (2.00GHZ) :(

Anyway, I think it looks pretty cool, and it keeps pretty cool too!

The CPU averages at 33 degrees C :)

The Athlon XPs had a habit of doing that. Correcting it is simply a matter of adjusting the FSB. Depending on the board, this can be done either in the BIOS or via a jumper on the board itself. Consult the motherboard manual for more info.

Looks good...Have you considred replacing the Cpu fan with a one that lighs up?

It would look better and brighten up inside the case i think.

I've tried changing the FSB on the BIOS, it ranges from 100 - 300...
At the moment it's on Auto which is 100MHZ, however when I change it it doesn't boot...

How do I do it with jumpers on the board?

I may get some more fans, Yeah, I guess it would look better, thanks :)

I have the lated BIOS and it still doesn't work. I found a thing called FSB Spread Spectrum, it's set to disabled and the other options are 0.5% and 1.0%.

Will that do anything?

Jebus I thought something was wrong when he was talking about 2400s. This was posted way back in 06. Why was this revived?!
