New Build - Gotta Problem !!

So, this isn't my first build but it's been about 6 years since my last one.
I've got all the parts in my case now but when I turned on the power, NOTHING!!
No startup post or anything on the monitor. All the fans are spinning so it seems the motherboards got power.
I'm not using the latest components but then I'm not building a hot gamer machine.
It's got:
ECS 945 motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500
4GB Kingston DDR2 PC5700 (667mhz) 5670
BioStar GeForce series with ATI HD Radeon
Sound Blaster X-FI
New Cooler Master 500w ps
Plextor DVD writer
Western Digital 1TB Black

I THINK everythings plugged into all the correct places on the motherboard.
I just can't figger out for the life of me why I'm not seeing the usual startup stuff
like the BIOS, memory count, etc. I don't even have an OS installed yet.
Please, any suggestions or help!!
Thanks mucho !!

It doesn't look like that motherboard supports that processor. What is the exact model number of the motherboard? Basically you need a 965 chipset to run a core2duo.

Hi John,
It's an ECS 945G-M2. The docs I have on it says it uses an LGA775 type of Intel Core2 Duo/Pentium D/Pentium 4, etc.

Damn!! Looks like your very right. Thank you very much John.
I was at Fry's today and looking at the MSI G31TM-P21 which I should be able to
use my CPU and RAM.
Any better suggestions?

I've got 4 sticks of 1gb Kingston that I'm going to have to take back to Fry's cuz
the MSI only has 2 slots and I'd like to have more than just 2gb RAM.

Yep, you'll either need 2x2gb memory or a board that has 4 ddr2 memory slots. What other computer stores are close to you?

The 775 slot is being phased out. You really should think about using a different motherboard/cpu/memory. Not knowing if you are on a budget or anything, I wouldn't know what to recommend.

Yea, super-tight budget unfortunately, and I gotta get this thing up and running.
Job hunting at the moment and can't miss my e-mails. I'm thinking I can take back
the 4gigs of RAM and get 2-2gb sticks. The MB I'm thinking about, MSI G31TM-P21 I can get for $40 bucks at FRY's.
