Hello to everyone this is my first post. im looking at upgrading my pc or building a new one. i dont game all i do is brouse the web but im after speed
i dont wont to wait for things to load ebay takes time to load i need suggestions i will list what i have got and what im thinking of building

1amd athlon 3500+ cpu
2 asus a8v-e deluxe m board
3 2x512mb pc3200 ram
4. asus eax300 graphics
new
1. intel q6600 quad core
2.intel p45 chipset gigabyte m board
3.4 gig ddr2 800 mhz ram
4.asus ati 4850 graphics
5. raid sata 2 hard drives
i dont wont to spend wasted money cause in not gaming help cheers oceanobsession

And if you don't really game...you can always save a little money by reducing the power of your graphics card. Maybe something in the ATI 3870 or 3850 range....you can get a nice card for normal computing for under $100. An ATI 3800 series card will not slow you down at all, it's a great card for a non gaming computer.

You only need an integrated GPU if you don't game. For web surfing raid is not going to do anything but cost you more money. You can not use 2 gb of ram let alone 4 gb of ram web surfing. You also do not need quad core and it will not make a difference in web browsing infact you will see better performance in this higher clocked dual core for basic programs.

If all you're gonna do is surf the web, you don't need a Quad CPU and 4GB of RAM and certainly not an HD4850 which is pretty much a gaming GPU.

Yeah sure, your suggested E8500 is way overkill for web surfing and ebay... not to mention the crappy case.

Yeah I even looked at it I thought that case did not have a psu... my eyes must have been blurry or something. AMD sucks he does not want his computer to melt and blow up in his face.

but yeah i wouldnt spend money on a intel system if your not going to be doing anything heavy, intel is exspensive, amd is cheep!!!, i would go with amd anyway there just pwnage
