New build help please :)

I'm looking to build a second computer and I would like to make it powerful. I've done a bit of looking around myself and was hoping to get some advice on anything better for me or if anything isn't compatible with other parts.
I will make a list of what and why I chose it :).
Oh, I would like to be able to use it primarily for highest graphics possible in gaming. I have a budget of maybe around £2000 ($3128.6). Budget can be increased a little and if it comes under then that would be great :P

CASE
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-023-NX
A large case which apparently has easy cable management and lots of room :P. This is one thing I definately want to keep

CPU
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-359-IN&tool=3
This was the CPU that looked best to me, I will most likely try to overclock too

MOTHERBOARD
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-477-AS&tool=3
Looks like it has a lot of room, not 100% sure if it can fit onto the case though >.<. I would like an Asus, hopefully one that can hold a lot :P

RAM
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-295-CS&tool=3
2 of these, I would like enough that I won't need more for a long time :)

SOUND CARD
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-058-CL&tool=3
I just heard it was a decent sound card

GRAPHICS CARD
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-275-SP&tool=3
2 of these on crossfire

OPTICAL DRIVE
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD-076-PO&tool=3
I would like to be able to play blu ray

PSU
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-130-AN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1088
Its got a lot of power and its apparently a good brand so I thought that would be good enough to handle the load

CPU COOLER
Haven't chosen one yet

I already have a hard drive, monitor and windows 7 prepared.

Well...... Any help would be greatly appreciated :). I especially have almost no idea about compatability *.*. Thanks in advance

EDIT: Forgt to mention, I need about 6 USB as I have mouse, keyboard, cam, headset, belkin, wireless mouse+keyboard combo

CPU - i5 2500K, spend the money on Video card

Mobo - Get Z68, get mid-range, save money for SSD

SSD

RAM - I don't see the point of getting CL8 for that much of money

Sound card - I recommend asus over creative

Video card - your machine deserve better video card

Blu-Ray writer. Do you really need blu ray writer. I expect Blu-ray combo will do at the moment. also LiteOn is cheaper, why go for Pioneer

PSU - it won't fit your case. I don't see you need 1000W even you dual video card

Thanks very much, I appreciate all of the input! Definately happy to have asked :). Just to make sure... Would all of those not only work together, but also fit on the motherboard and inside the case? I tend to worry about that most *.*. Thank you again for the reply

What he said. You only need an i5-2500k compared to an i7 2600k. The only difference is hyper threading which games don't utilize at all.

Go with 8GB. No program, except very RAM intense programs, will ever use more than 8GB, especially gaming. And when you do need more than 8GB in the future, most likely your system will already be out of date.

For the PSU, look for a 750w if you're using two cards. If you're thinking about 3 cards, which I would not recommened because of driver and heat issues, 1000w would be enough. Look for brands from antec, corsair, silverstone, seasonic, pc power and cooling, or xfx.

Oh, and I recommend a coolermaster 212+ for your cooler. My friend got it with his i5 2500k and NZXT phantom and it's getting around 25-30c for temps. I just ordered it for my build too.

am looking around now, there are several issues, no os disk, could get much better graphics, not needed but with that budget may as well, and just some stuff.

this is good, if you'd like to save, you can drop to the 2500k, a 1.5gb gfx card, a different case, and several other things, but i chose all these parts for the quality and capabilities, however overkilly they are, if you'd like more power there's also some slightly better cases, a supposedly better mobo, more ram and higher speed too, there are better power supplies but this one is more than good enough, gold efficiency and modular and 850w, you could also go for a gtx590 or HD6990, or a water cooled gpu.
