So i recently decided to build a new computer, ive got a slight idea what i want but could really use a hand. Oh and im in Australia so the prices may look whack!:P I can spend a bit more if a part that costs say $50 is alot better than the part ive chosen...any help is much appreciated!:D

I chose this site as it's close and has decent prices! www.ple.com.au

Vista Ultimate 64bit Edition.

Total price is $2100

Will all of this go together nicely or have i picked some items that conflict?
I relise the 8gb of ram is overkill but its so cheap><. I wasnt to sure about the gfx card, motherboard and powersupply. Suggestions and Improvements much appreciated:D

-thanks matt

p.s. will it be able to play the latest games?

32 bit = MAX 4GB

Well the OS supports 4GB... but serioulsy you would not need the 8GB of ram!

Actually 64 bit Vista Ultimate supports 128GB of RAM!

Getting 8GB of RAM is overkill, 4GB will do!

Anyway, has the motherboard been checked for the MAX it can take???????

Is there any particular reason your gonna be using Vista Ultimate 64 Bit????

Unless you NEED a 64 Bit O/S, I would never use 64 Bit Windows. Its gonna be a while before 64 Bit takes lead over 32 Bit anyway.

Right now, all you'd be doing is hindering yourself but getting 64 Bit O/S.

Infact, why r u bent on using Vista? It cant compare itself to XP Pro.

If you must have Vista, I'd get the premium version.
Its cheaper and works the same as Ultimate. With Ultimate, the extras your paying aren't worth it.

Anyone agree??

Same. No problems so far with XP designed programs. Halo, Halo 2, BF2, BF1942, BF2142, ect...

PSU is the only thing I'd change. OCZ GameXStream / StealthXstream

LOL - Looking back
