New build help

I just finished my pc build and on first startup gpu fan spun for startup then stopped after. I turned pc off and started again and same thing happened but this time i got stuck on windows loading screen also.
Any ideas?

What GPU? A lot of them power off the fan at idle/desktop.

How did you turn the pc off? Did you press the power button or actually click on start then shutdown?

Ah ok that makes me feel better lol. But do you know why it gets stuck on the windows loadig screen?

You pressed the button and you shouldn't have. You most likely have errors on the hard drive now. Scan the drive using the drive manufacturers disk diagnostic utility.
