New build ideas?

Hey everyone it's been a long time since ive been on the forums.
I hope everyone has been doing okay.

Straight to the point though.
I Need some build ideas. Budget is $2,500 USD. I already have monitor, keyboard, mouse.

Preferably order from newegg.

Not sure if I want to go Intel or AMD so im open to both. Primarily for gaming. But must have 2tb of HDD space minimum and a SSD is a plus for a boot drive but not nessecary.

The computer will also be used for video and photo editing using professional editions of Avid Studio and Photoshop. And some 3d modeling and design (architectural work my wife does now)

Hopefully the budget is enough.

Thank you for any and all ideas.

Jack

I honestly don't know what to do with that kind of budget, lol. :) That will build a nice computer. Assuming that you'll also reuse your power supply and case, you could easily get this:
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116492
^No use going for the more expensive ones, because this one will probably overclock just as well anyway.
GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130918
^Other than the GTX Titan, pretty much the best out there.
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236522
^Basically one of the most reliable 2TB HDDs.
SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148694
^You could also get the 480GB version of that SSD, since you have extra money.
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231572
^I honestly don't know which of the Gskill sets is the best, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
BD Burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135306
^If someone else knows of a better burner, correct me.
MoBo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188121
^I don't really know much about these boards, so someone else may have a better recommendation.

Jack i know for sure the cpu and board work well together because i have them

Then the ddr3 memory and sata 6gbps drives are pretty standard

gpu is a personal choice but is pci-e x16 3.0

case is usb 3.0

H100i fits fine

Psu seems fine and is even haswell low power state certifed

When you originally posted that, you posted your shopping cart, which none of us can see. That's what Denther was referring to.

Yes when i posted it this morning cart was fine, but when i checked it a while ago it was gone.

All the parts are the exact same except case and ram, the case is similar just looks nicer and ram is ram, i just changed it from one model of g-skill to another.

Ohh okay. now I understand what is going on. That is a good build. I would just chose a different case (For aesthetics. I just prefer other looks) any full size case will work. I understand about cooling and what is needed.

what is a good power supply where I can remove what power cords I don't need. Modular? I think it is. Enough to power, sayyyy, 2 x 2gb 7970's? or 2 770's ??

Basically just to power a lot of high end stuff? 850 watt or above im guessing?
