New build intel 2600k with asus p67 deluxe

I am going to build intel i7 2600k with asus p67 deluxe.
what video card goes with that spec???
I am thinking gtx570 or 470..... I don't know witch one's good....
can u recommend me any others??? i am looking at less than $400 or little more.....
 
Best video card under $400 would be GTX 570, yes. Don't get 470, if your budget is lower then HD 6850/70 would be a much better choice./
 
I'd also say the 6970/6950 are in the running too. The 570 and the 6970 trade blows (Depending on the game, some will run better on nVidia, some better on AMD) with the 6970 coming out ahead a little more often than not. However, the big kicker is that the 6950 can unlock into a 6970 by doing a BIOS swap. The swap has had a great reputation for working flawlessly, and if it doesn't, then the back up BIOS prevents you from bricking the card by simply returning it to default settings at the flick of a switch. The 570 is a great card, don't get me wrong, I love mine :) but its worth considering your other options too.
 
what CardboardSword said, the 6950 and 6970 should be in there.i think imo that the best card for less than $400 is the 6950 all the way.also what CardboardSword said, the 6970 and 570 trades blows but the 6970 pulls ahead most of the time. with that said, just get a 6950 unlock it to a 6970 and you have urself a very good card for $299.imo the 6950 is the best card right now for the money,period.

What is the level of effort/degree of difficulty in unlocking a 6950 to a 6970?

Does it make it run hotter?
 
I can't say for sure. Its not blindly easy like double clicking on a file, but another member who's actually done it posted a thread on it not too long ago, he said looking back on it it was really easy, but he created problems for himself by rushing. I'm sure there are a whole bunch of guides around for doing so, and with the back up BIOS on the card it's practically risk free.

It will run a little hotter, but its still well within acceptable ranges, especially for the performance increase. I look at it as its basically a $370 card for $300, I'll put in an hour or two of work for $70 worth of performance wouldn't you?

interesting. Yet another thing i will need to consider before finalizing my rig.
