Ok, i am going to build a pc for my parents. They want one that will preform on par with mine (I9300) and want it to be slim, quite and cool. Its got to be preformance oriented except in the graphics department where its still got to have pci-e slot but not a top of the line card, basically the cheapest card that would work shall be fine. anyway, i was thinking this:

BTW: budget 750

I guess they want something like the dell XPS200 only they don't want the heavy price tag and want better preformance......not to mention i did tell them dell is crap for desktops compared to a custom build.

I am VERY happy with what I have (look down)
1. Minus the videocard (which, as explicitly noted here, isnt an issue), both the machines spec'd so far are superior all-around boxes
2. 1800USD is a far cry from the original budget of 750USD

Ewww celeron..... I don't think the celeron will hold up long agest the 3500+or 3800 x2, And the other one is about 250USD to much...
Not just eeew celeron ... but careful with the posts....

As for competiting, not a chance in hell it'll match either of the boxes either mgoldb2 or myself suggested...... especially given the price.

Well, its looking like i'm not gunna get it as small as they want, so i might aswell go for a Mid Tower, and if i do that i could probably just add in my $50+shipping and get a gaming computer such as:

becuase i don't have a choice with newegg.
other then that, does everything else work and is fine?

But a lower clock out of the box. I think i'll stick with the X850PRO and OC it.
Not to mention the R430 in the X800XL compared to the R480 in the X850PRO

Oh, i swithed mobo's becuase the chaintech one isn't suppose to overclock very well, so its now a gigabyte mobo.

1. You assume inccorectly that the R430 is worse than the 480 in this case
2. You also assume incorrectly, that you'll be able to outperform the X800XL
3. heh, it's your money ;)
