New build, no display

I recently built a new gaming computer, i connected all the cables and everything, the computer just boots to a black screen. Also the fans arent working? Help

2500k
asrock ex3 gen3
corsair 8gb ram
corsair 400r
sapphire 6950
liteon dvd drive
seagate 1tb hdd help please!
 
Did you connect the 4/8 pin PSU rail to the video card? Does the video card fan spin up? Did you plug the case fans into the PSU? Are the power connectors in the right spot on the motherboard?
 
Triple check. Once again, did the video card fan spin up? Is anything running, like the CPU fan or the hard drive? What power supply do you have?

Just to clarify, you see nothing on the screen? No motherboard flash, no BIOS setup options? Just all black?

did you plug in the EXTRA motherboard power connector? I had the same trouble, and that's what did it for me. It'll probably be in the top-left corner of your mobo.
