ive got a gigabyte ga-965p-DS3 mobo, core 2 duo 6600 and ocz ram. I have a brand new power supply with the proper connections. I turn on the power and all the fans start up, i can hear the hard drives also. Sounds like its good, with the exception of video. Ive removed everything but the basics and still same result. I used 1 stick (1gig) instead of 2 and ive tried to play with the power switch. Nothing. Im not very good at this and im trying to get this up and running. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is it integrated graphics or not? If not, does your graphic card require power from the PSU? If not and it's a PCI Express x16 or maybe AGP (don't know if it works with AGP), disable the onboard graphics, then when restarting go into the BIOS and enable PCI Express x16/AGP (if AGP is an option).

Do you hear any extra beeps like a single long one followed by two short beeps when the post tests begin? On many bioses that will point right at a bad card. If you don't hear anything does it seem like everything is booting normally without anything onscreen?

The post tests being completed would point at the card more then anything. If you see the drive light going back and forth try a different card. If you are not seeing the initial post screen with the option to enter the bios setup that would be a clear indication.

Default voltage for that board is 1.8, i have the same one. I can almost guarantee the voltage for your RAM is more. Find out and change it. Most OCZ ram require higher volatge then other RAM. It's worth a shot.
