New build-not reconize hard drive

I am building this computer.

On start up is does not see the hard drive. This is my first build using sata hard drive. Do I have to do something something different? I already tried different cable. I guess it could also be a bad hard drive. Any troubleshooting recommendations?

What OS are you installing? Does it show up in the bios? Look in the bios and see if you can set the SATA controllers in Native IDE mode.

This is in the original start up. I haven't even gotten to install OS.

Do you not see the drive in BIOS? If not, then your drive may be bad, or the SATA port on the mobo may be bad.

If BIOS does see the drive, but the OS installation doesn't then you should enter BIOS and check your set your SATA drive to PATA/IDE mode.

ok. I made one stupid mistake. It is seeing hard drive. I missed it under sata. However I still can't get anywhere.
says:
floppy disk fail. I don't have any installed.
CMOS checksum error-Defaults loaded
Warning! Now system is in safe mode
Please resetting CPU frequency in the CMOS setup

Press F8 to enable system configuration
Press F9 to select booting device after post

Reset the BIOS to defaults and see if the message goes away...
