New build not working.

So me and my friend just put together his rig, and while we were putting it together it beeped, but once we took it upstairs to hook up to the monitor nothin...no picture.no beep.

we tryed all cables, ram, reconnnecting.

6870 xfx
500watt ocz modular.
 
start small. did you check for a power switch on the back of the PSU, and to see that it is in the on position?
 
Maybe the motherboard is shorting against the case somewhere after moving it? What happens if you assemble it outside the case? Tried a different power supply?
 
Yea tryed that.

You know imm probably gonna have to restart, and see if its shorting :/
 
hokd on on that. Check the P and P1 connectors and be sure that they are properly attached first. If they weren't securely attached, transporting might have knocked it loose.
