New build, once built, do i need to alter anything in BIOS?

Hi there,

Im building a new computer, I have everything ready to build, and i just want to know, when i first turn it on, Do i actually need to alter anything in BIOS, or do i just use it to check that everything is connected up and working? I want to build asap but i feel i need to learn about BIOS etc before i do. I have been into the BIOS of my current pc.

There will probably be some settings that aren't quite right, but it won't do anything bad to ave them like that...most likely your RAM will just be underclocked. Sometimes it gets the voltage on the CPU wrong as well.
