Do they fans and lights get plugged directly into the psu or the motherboard. my antec 1200 and my psu arived but no motherboard. Want to make sure the lights and fans work so can i just plug them directly into the psu?
 
It will be hard to get to psu to boot with no mobo. Theres a trick you do with a paper clip to ground it.. The fans can go into the psu though. Or depending on the connection, if its a tiny little white plug with three holes it can go onto mobo. Someone else could prolly tell you the paper clip trick.
 
if they have the molex connector, then yes, i wouldn't with the cpu fan, though that would get stuck on 100% power all the time(provided it does even the molex connection)

your fans will default to 100% (including cpu fan) unless you have them connected to the mobo and control them from there OR they have controllers connected to them. my antec case has 3 speed control on the fans so yours should too.

Ok so i connected all the molex connectors there was four of them screwed the psu into the back of the case and when i flicked the switch nothing. Not even the fan on the back of the psu spun?
 
Alright I figured it out now my question is when i get the rest of the parts mobo ect will the case fans and lights continue to run when i shut down becasue there plugged directly into the psu. Will i have to turn the psu off for them to stop if so what can i do?
