New build, thoughts?

I took the advice from my last post and decided to upgrade my system. I've been thinking about it for a while but playing current games with average fps is getting annoying on my old Core 2 Duo haha. I haven't built a system in a while, so i'm a bit out of the loop as far as whats new etc. My budget is around $800-900 - I already have a new ssd and hdd I just recently installed in my current system, and already have dvd drive etc.

I was looking online and came up with these parts. I want a good system without spending thousands that's capable of playing games on high/ultra and has smooth, playable fps. I mostly play games like Assetto corsa, Project CARS, FSX, ARMA 3, GTA V, that require a pretty good system to run well. Can you give me your recommendations or thoughts on the parts I chose?

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690 3.5GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte H97 Gaming 3 LGA1150
Memory: Kingston value ram 8gb (2 x 4gb)
GPU: Gigabyte R9270x OC 2GB
PSU: Coolermaster Thunder 700w

Is 700w enough to run the GPU that requires 500w and the rest of the drives, etc?
 
Ok I'll go for a 600w and change the ram and motherboard. Project cars has a recommended CPU of an i7 3700 3.5 ghz and an amd Radeon hd7000 series. The minimum CPU is a 2.66ghz core 2 quad and gpu is an amd Radeon hd5770, which is what I've got now. Are the CPU and gpu I've chosen going to be able to handle it well? If I have to choose a more expensive CPU and gpu I'm pretty sure I'll be well over budget by the end.
 
Your processor is solid but the more you spend on the GPU the more performance you'll get. Use this tool to other compare GPU's with your current 270X planned. R9 280 or higher is better on the AMD front and a GTX 960 for the Nvidia side. With these comparisons you can compare prices and decide if the performance increase is worth the price.

I've changed some parts and ended up with this list:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690 3.5GHz (Don't really plan on overclocking cpu, so cant see need for 4690k)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97-HD3
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8GB (2 x 4GB)
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX960 STRIX 2GB
PSU: Thermaltake LitePower LT-650 650w

I'm still judging up on the graphics card, leaning towards nVidia. It seems Project CARS is a resource hog and you need a very good pc to run it on ultra, so hopefully i'll end up with mid/high, which i'm happy with as long as it runs smoothly and has good frame rate. Saw a video on youtube, guy with same cpu and gpu with 8gb ram playing arma 3 on high/ultra and was very smooth. It's got to be better than my core 2 Duo 2.93ghz with 1gb graphics haha.
 
Looks good and the 960 will do most games on high/ultra settings at 60fps, so it should do fine. I would however go for the 4690k. I think it's the same price or several dollars more. You may want to overclock in the future. And it's a lot better to have the choice if you decide you want too.
 
Thanks guys, I went for the 4690K with the GTX 960 and it handles Project Cars and all the other games i play on ultra and high which is what I wanted to be able to do. Thanks for your help!
