New Build, will turn on but no display

Recently bought a new motherboard, cpu, and case and transferred all the components to the new case. The leds and fans and everything will turn on but there will be no display shown on the monitor. I have 3 monitors that were working and I've tried all of them. I've also looked through all the troubleshooting threads(and on tom's hardware) and tried everything. The only thing I just noticed was that my ram wasn't on the official supported list on the motherboard (does this expressly matter or is it more of a recommendation?) . I have 2 x 4gb AD3U1333C4G9-B with an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard. I've already made the the ram are in the right spots, checked cpu, reseated graphic cards, checked plugs etc.

Thanks in advance :)

Please post what processor you have. It may be an incompatibility between motherboard and processor.

You need bios version 1006 in order to support the 8350. You would need to find a processor that the board originally supported to see what bios version is currently on the board. The memory support list just means that the memory that have actually tried on the board and worked. Doesn't mean yours won't. The board may have the original bios version of 0208 and thats why the board won't boot up.

Here is a list of what processors the board support.

Try to find a processor that works with bios version 0208 and install it and see what happens.

Also what video card and power supply do you have?

I have an NVIDIA 780 TI with a 750w psu(sorry not at home at the moment, don't remember the exact name). I used the bios flashback to update the bios, but after that I had to make sure everything was correctly fitted because it wouldn't start up and reset the cmos so Ill update the bios again and see if that helps, but unfortunately I don't have access to a different cpu at the moment.

Yeah, both are plugged it. At this point I'm probably just going to take it in tomorrow and hopefully get it properly diagnosed or fixed. And thanks so much for your help! :)
