Hi guys,

So I just built a new computer and for some reason the thing won't turn on. I took the power supply in, and the tech tested it and it worked, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Here are my components:
- Kingston HyperX Fury Memory Black 16GB 2X8GB DDR3-1600 CL10 Dual Channel Memory Kit
- Corsair CX Series CX430 430W ATX 12V 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply 120mm Fan
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA 6Gbps 3.5IN Internal Hard Drive - OEM
- ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card
- ASUS DRW-24F1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer Black
- AMD FX-6300 Six Core 3.5/4.1GHZ Processor AM3+ 14MB Cache 95W Retail Box
- Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 AMD760G mATX AM3+ 1PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 1PCI DDR3 SATA2 DVI HDMI GBLAN Motherboard
- Logisys CS305 Black ATX Tower Case 4X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5IN 480W 80mm Rear Fan Front USB Audio 120mm Fan
- ASUS Radeon R7 360 V2 1070MHZ 2GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5 DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card

Any help would be appreciated. How do I test if the power switch on the new tower isn't broken, or if the motherboard is fried?

Hello,

I would have brought the board with me. Does it do nothing at all when connected? Can you build it outside of the case and verify that it turns on to rule out grounding in the case? Are you sure you're using the appropriate PWR header for the button, and have the 24 pin and 4 pin EPS connectors connected to the board?

You can try jumping the pins on the board where the power switch/button plugs into. Do you have all the standoffs in the right places?
