Id skip on that ebay and dell build. Just build your own! Dell's quality has really slipped in the past couple of years, they use the cheapest parts they can find to charge as much as they can get away with. If you buy a certain model from them, you never know what parts (manufactures) you will get. It could be the same model number, but one will have a Western Digital hard drive, and the next one will have a Maxtor. It just depends on what was the cheapest parts they could buy.

I'm not sure if all the parts work together. but thats basically what I want I think.
 
You will also need a power supply. For that system I would suggest at least a 430 watt. But if you can afford a decent 500 watt, that would be good.

Why did you select a microATX motherboard? Are you wanting to build a small form factor system? For a full size system you want an ATX motherboard.

And why are you set on a AMD cpu? Intel's are faster, but yeah, they are a bit more expensive.

I'm totally new on building computers so I don't know alot about it. My brother is going to build it I just need to pick out the parts.
I just hear good things about amd. Is intel apost to be better?

Actually I strongly suggest you go for a 8800GT. But as you said, you are not gaming a lot, may be a bit of waste of money.
Besides, if I get $1100, I will definately go for intel Q6600 G0 with MSI Platium/ Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R instead of AMD set up.

I don't think you need a 700W PSU. get the consair 550W
The EVGA GPU seems a little expensive, I personally will choose MSI OC version.
 
OK I got 2 build AMD and Intel I'm going to have my brother look over them, then i'll tell you which one I went for.

But for the Q6600 is it really that much better then AMD. I understand the 4 processors to 2 is always going to be better, but the AMD chips are faster right?

The architechure of those CPU are completly different, you can't just see on the speed (GHz) of the CPU and say which one perform better. The best way is look at different benchmarks on the web
