is this power supply good? i am sure it is powerful enough to handle everything but just wondering if its reliable enough?

should i get a different cpu fan now or later? i do plan to overclock my system

dude 1k watt is overkill by major, just go with a simple 850

Nice price on the i7...congrats on the find!

For $10 more you could have maybe the best motherboard ever made. Everything I have read about this thing says it is amazing. Every person that has worked with it or tested it is blown away. There are reviews and articles you can find on the web. It is supposed to go up for sale here any day now.

no. just wondering since sometimes the processors come with the thermal compound on them.

The bottom on the stock heatsink has it already applied. I would not use this as usually it is already dry and is applied way too thick.

for future upgrades. i plan to get a sli setup going at some point. maybe a sound card also. just not now
