I have a copy of Win 7, and a 1TB HDD.

I need a GPU mostly, and any suggestions would be great. I'm trying to stay under 1100.

This is a gaming rig, and I like to play on max settings as well. I am thinking of getting one card now, and then, in a couple of months getting another and running them in SLI (If I get nVidia)

so you still need keyboard,mouse,monitor,cd/dvd drive and a gpu, im guessing a after market cooler for the cpu as well, right?

edit: its 690.94 w/o tax and shipping just on what you have down.

Considering that I have all of that it's not an issue. Like I said, the only think I need is a GPU. (I forgot to mention the dvd drive). Not planing on OCing, so I don't really need the after market CPU cooler.

Benny Boy - Didn't see that, I'll look again. Thanks,

it really helps to have an after market cooler even if you dont OC.you said its going to be a gaming machine right?

So if you got everything exept for the GPU and your limit is $1100, than you can get a decent GPU.

faster than the 580 for around $100 less.
