Um... how about most Plextors, Liteys, ASUS and Samsung. As ive noted in the CDR section, you seem hell bent of promoting Sony without recognizing the facts behind the scene.Who doesn't?
I wouldn't recommend it, the unit is made by SolyTech (Deer). The Sunbeam Nuuo 550W is better unit at the same price. The Ultra X2 550W is also worth considering, at the same price after MIR.
I don't often recommend them either. The Youngyear models are quite poor, but the X2s are made by Wintech, and certainly a cut above.Ah good catch on the rebagging, me I'm not a fan of Ultra PSUs anymore but given the relatively lax budget, damn near any PSU is more than acceptable.
I don't doubt that a single card would run fine, although I wouldn't recommend any of those units for crossfire. I agree it would be a bad idea to go with a multi-GPU rig at the present time, and only mentioned the power requirements since you referred to it as a multi-GPU friendly platform. In anycase,
1. The video configuration is single-gpu/card
2. 1950s use less power (relatively) than their previous gen brethen(and I can confirm they run plenty fine on even the stock PSU which comes with the Sonata II)

I am quite aware that Sony simply slaps their name on the things they sell. I go more by how they work. "Reliably"! Now cd drives with a name like Artec(not Antec) will fall apart in 2 minutes. ruf! ruf! grrrr...We pound 'em Sonys around here and they still hold up.
What can I say.. they last.

What do you think about the new PC Power and Cooling PSUs?
Not really, I have a friend who's had to replace 3 Sony drives on their Vaio.

Sorry, I'm not Praetor, but they are some of the best, if not the best, power supplies out there.
